Tee Ball - a new sport?

Img_3052 Now those of you that know me - they know I have a thing about balls.  Well balls flying at me and yes, I can hear one of those "friends" chiming in his two cents.  So signing Logan up for Tee ball was a hard thing for me to do.  But I am curious to see how she does at a sport other then soccer.  Soccer is my first love of sports.  Having grown up in Germany, there is nothing more fanatical or amazing to watch then either being at a live soccer match or being at a sports bar and watching it on tv.  I remember when Germany won the world cup - traffic was at a standstill and people were in the streets and celebrating.  Oh yeah, back to Tee ball.  Logan's team is the Brewers which for a Tee ball team is strange but I will go with it.  She so far really likes it and the fact that "Coach Chris" is her coach makes it fun for her.  Her first game is later this week so I can't wait to see how the brewers throw down!

Mommy Stalker

Img_3063 There comes a time when every mom or dad takes that first walk to school.  The First Day of School is a day that only really comes once and there is no getting it back.  So that first morning a small, and very young looking little girl got out of bed, excited and thrilled it was the first day of school.  She got ready and then pressed her face against the window waiting to see the lining up of the other kids on our street.  They were like a parade of children walking down Inglewood.  Some were older and knew this drill and others were prepared to greet this new experience.  I saw a look of concern on her face for a fleeting moment, and then in a flash between all the kids, parents, buses she was gone.  So what did I do?  You guessed it, I bawled my little eyes out.  Then I stalked her.  I hid in a bush for when her school bus pulled up to it's stop at the end of Kindergarten (it left her off at her after school program).  I am not sure what I was expecting to see.  But I was not prepared for a smiling, happy child getting off the bus and bounding up to her other friends and giving one a hug.  I think the first day of school was the hardest for me.  She definately survived it without a problem.  First day of school photos are in the gallery!  ENJOY!
