It's been awhile since my last post. Logan got certified to Scuba Dive just like her daddy. The space shuttle flew over my work and I have an almost middle schooler in my house. If you want to hit Logan up on Instagram she is @themerpyllama so she would appreciate the follow.
I sat through a rather lengthy information session at Middle School yesterday. They talked about the A days and the B days. Some classes they have every day some they have every other day. There is a resource period to do homework, there is a lot to know. Next week it's instrument try out week. For a child who struggles with organization (cough, cough - got it from Mark) it's going to be rough getting used to remembering what day it is and when to go to her locker, and of course, what locker accessories to purchase and deck out her locker. So many things. Not to mention remembering a locker combo. Also we found out that about 85% of the kids are in some type of honors programs, many more than one class. So no pressure - right? Where did all these Wunderkind come from? So we are enjoying the last of what elementary school has to offer, naiive in our comfort of what was and not what will be. Faster pace, more pressure, more stress, more work. I don't envy the young.
